Abi Abel
Abi Abel is a Fort Worth native and began her tap career at age 3 with Frances Lea (Fort Worth Ballet Association, TCU Ballet, Broadway and Casa Manana.) At 6 years old, Abi started dancing with her mentor, Bob Fosse protege, Larry Howard (Vaudeville, Dr. Pepper Radio Hour, Copacabana, Ed Sullivan Show, Jackie Gleason Show, Colgate Comedy Hour, Broadway and Casa Manana.)
In her first professional theatre production, Abi played the part of Molly, the tap dancing orphan in Annie at Casa Manana and that same year was cast in her first commercial...at the age of 8!! For the next 12 years, she continued her professional career with performances in 42nd Street, Fiddler on the Roof, Singing in the Rain, The King and I, and Annie Get Your Gun; and commercials/industrials (Dr. Pepper, PB Max) including landing a lead dancer role in a Sonic commercial alongside Frankie Avalon.
Abi has had the privilege of studying with tap greats such as Gracey Tune, Savion Glover, Max Pollak, Acia Gray, and Jay Fagan.
